Schon allein wegen des Gesangs lohnt es sich diese CD mal anzuhören! Warm, weich und klar besingt Deva Themen wie Frieden, Liebe - ihre Stimme vermittelt das bestens. Sie singt das meiste - wenn nicht alles - auf Sanskrit, das aber auch für uns Westler in unserer Seele verständlich ist und etwas anregt. Tief drin kennen wir alles!
Wirklich gute Musik und das nicht nur für Indienfans.

Deva Premals Stimme ist schönerer, klarer, wärmer denn je. Bekannte gute Musiker begleiten diese einmalig schöne Stimme, die die Liebe besingt, das Licht und den Spirit. Man fließt mit der Musik mit und singt auch automatisch mit, wenn die große Entspannung anrollt...

With Deva to the stars (6. Juni 2007)

Embrace, as well as Love is Space, is one of the most hauntingly beautiful records I've ever heard. At the moment I suffer from numerous problems, including insomnia. and Deva's gentle but poweful voice plus the wonderful layer of Eastern and Western music and choruses never fails to put me in a more relaxed and peaceful state of mind. Together with breathing exercises it often lets me drift off into the stars and then to sleep. Deva's music is also an excellent accompaniment to yoga exercises, and her music is certainly not limited to this. However, her exquisite rendition of various mantras is inspiring me to go out and get myself a mala (prayer beads) and devote some time to my own mantras, which should give me more inner peace and strength. I will certainly purchase more from this sublime singer and at the same time I can highly recommend the CD Magical Healing Mantras by Namasté. Thank you Deva and Co. for adding harmony to my often stressful life!

Unique yet familiar (8. März 2005)

Deva primal is a unique mixture of her own interpretation or manufacture of mantras and using the Book "Healing Mantras" ISBN: 1564557359 for inspiration. An added plus is the repetitiveness of her songs instead of changing the mode every five minutes or so. Thos album is not necessarily a classic but a hybrid of classic and contemporary to close the gap between the two worlds. There are better representations in both worlds but that does not distract form this great contribution.
Naturally each listener will select there own favorites, depending on circumstances and mood. Most of the time mine is "shree ram jai ram jai jai ram om."
Reading the insert will add to the appreciation of these songs. It tells of her background and the purpose of each song or chant.
